The Pilot Project of Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcast (DTMB), costing worth $ 4 million, was inaugurated in April 2015. It aimed to upgrade the PTV terrestrial network from analogue to digital transmission. Demonstration project with Chinese side is being processed while PC-1 of the demonstration project was approved on May 2, 2018.
