In December 2021, KP Public-Private Partnership committee has approved construction of 360 KM long Peshawar-D.I.Khan motorway under the CPEC. The groundbreaking of 103 KM long Nokundi-Mashkhel road project under CPEC held on May 20, 2021. Tender process for construction work is completed and contractor mobilized. Work on the road project, with estimated cost of Rs 7 billion, started.
